Where are you located?

I live in Forsyth, Illinois and photograph mostly on-location.  If need be, I can set up a natural light "studio" in my home.  I also travel to the Chicago area frequently.

 

What does my session fee include?

The session fee includes my time for your planning meeting, session, hours of post-production work, and your premiere ordering session.  It does not include products.  This is collected when you book to secure your session date and time.

 

How does the planning meeting work?

In order to give my clients the very best experience I will meet with you ahead of time.  We will get to know each other, plan your perfect session, and discuss home decor and products.  I believe connecting with my clients is one of the most important things.  I realize the convenience of emails and texting, but after years of experience I have found in-person to be so much better.

 

Do you sell digital files?

Yes, I do sell the digital files, HOWEVER, as a photographer, my ultimate goal is for you to come away with beautiful images that will stand the test of time and will be proudly displayed in your home for you and your family to enjoy.  Usually this translates to large wall prints.  When a client chooses to purchase digital files, that means several things.  It indicates that a client prefers to do their own printing, and that means the quality control I usually provide will not be a part of the process any longer.  It also means that I am losing the income from print sales because the files have been purchased and are intended to be printed/purchased elsewhere.  The pricing of digital files is set specifically to offset that very loss of income.  I am so passionate about providing the best possible products and service to my clients, that I strongly urge you to purchase prints directly through me.  They are all the highest quality, archival grade prints, and are guaranteed for life.  It is often heared from clients who purchased digital images in lieu of prints, that several years down the road, they still do not have wall prints because they just got too busy or forgot.  So, let me help you when it comes to the print process.  You will rest easy knowing you'll have gorgeous images in a tangible form to share with friends and family and even your grandchildren one day

 

How and when do I get to see my images and place my order?

Within two weeks after your session we will meet for a premiere ordering session.  At this time, all decision makers need to be present and orders will be placed.  The efficient ordering process that I provide will guarantee that you walk away with beautiful wall portraits or other stunning products to display and cherish for a lifetime.  After many years in the photography business, I am convinced this is the easiest method.  Online galleries leave clients feeling overwhelmed and not sure what to order.  In a very streamlined manner we will select your favorites and choose products to best showcase your images.  This typically takes 1.5 hours, it is easy and fun and you will LOVE knowing that you just accomplished so much in a relatively short time.  

How much will my portraits cost?

I understand that each person's need varies so I offer ala carte pricing.  During the premiere ordering session, you can also build your own custom package.  My clients typically spend between $400 and $2,000.

You will have a minimum of 30-50 edited images to select from.  You will make your final decisions at your premiere ordering appointment, and half of your payment is due at that time.  The other half is due when your order comes in.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, Check, Mastercard, and Visa.  Payment plans are also available.

How long will it take to get my order? 

Immediately after your premiere ordering session I will process your payment and your order will be on its way!  Orders usually take 2-4 weeks.  I will inspect it upon arrival to make sure it is absolutely perfect and package it up in my signature boxes and bags.  You will receive an email when it is ready to be picked up!
